Vintage Japanese Melon Silk Hand Bag H1235 Clutch Purse
- vintage Japanese bag, woven, hand dyed, melon colored silk with a forest pattern in pale green
The bag has a nice rectangular shape and the exterior fabric is in very good vintage condition.  There is light padding on the fabric.
The fancy metal rims have changed color from silver to copper on one entire side (photo 8) and in a few spots on the other side (photo 7).   You can see the progression in photo 5, which shows the back of the bag and the coloring of the upper rim.
Measures 9.5" in length, 5" high and 1.5" wide.   Lined in pale gold taffeta fabric with 2 small inside pockets.  
The lining looks good with one small discoloration.
