Vintage Silk Kimono - Soft Silk Vintage Japanese Kimono Robe H1101
Hand stitched by kimono makers in Japan.   This is a women's robe and it is fully lined.   It's smooth silk, soft, flowing and in excellent condition.   The exterior is clean and without marks or holes.
The fabric is silk jacquard with a pale gold base and a crackle pattern that shimmers a little.
The print has lovely blue water patterns and chrysanthemum and other flowers in rust, gold and wine.
The lining is soft ivory silk with a rust shaded edge.   The lining is clean with just a tiny mark on the back right panel up by the neck.
Measures 51" from sleeve tip to tip and 63" from back neck to the hem.
Chest is 46", hip is 46", sleeve length from shoulder seam to wrist is 12.5" and the drop from the shoulder to the bottom edge is 21".
Kimono are very long because in Japan they take a horizontal tuck at the waist and wrap the fabric with the obi to keep it in place.
Properly wrapped this would fit about a size 10-12-14 but you could wear it overlapped more loosely or completely open over pants.
You can also display this backwards on the wall with a rod and open the bottom in a fan shape to get a full view.
